After a refreshing two week holiday, Volunteer Prince George is excited to be re-open for business! To start, I will share information about upcoming  programs, events, and training on volunteerism:

  • New volunteer recognition program offered by the Prince George Citizen
  • Fall series of workshops hosted by Volunteer Prince George
  • Annual training event for volunteers, non-profits & charities presented by Volunteer BC & the BC Association for Charitable Gaming

I encourage you to visit us online next week to learn when and where Volunteer Prince George will be promoting volunteerism in our community!

Do you know a incredible volunteer who has been steadily and quietly making our community a better place?

The Prince George Citizen wants to celebrate these “unsung heros” in a weekly feature in Thursday’s Citizen Extra called “Volunteer of the Week”  This exciting new feature will be published starting in September 2016.  But, your input is needed NOW!  Learn more through the article “Citizen to recognize volunteers” and NOMINATE your favourite unsung hero by contacting Christine Hinzmann at 250-960-2773 or email chinzmann@pgcitizen.ca.
