Disaster Management, Local & National deployments – Now recruiting volunteers in PG. The DM Team assists vulnerable individuals or populations following a personal or large-scale disaster. Multi-level training. Two year commitment to the Red Cross is required.
The ERT Responder will be responsible for various emergency shelter and reception centre response activities in addition to other responsibilities related to emergency preparedness.
Required Qualifications/Certifications:

The ERT Supervisor may supervise a team of ERT Responders at the local level. The ERT Supervisor will organize and set up and manage a specific service during a response. The incumbent of this position supervises the work of the responders placed under their responsibility. There may be several services on the site.

The Personal Disaster Assistance (PDA) Team is activated to respond and provide assistance for up to the first 72 hours following a disaster. The incumbent of this position is responsible for conducting a needs assessment to determine the needs of the clients.
Required Qualifications/Certifications:
Some qualifications may be required [depending on position], Criminal Records Check, Class 5 Driver's License
The Personal Disaster Assistance Team is activated to respond and provide assistance for up to the first 72 hours following a disaster. The PDA supervisor will supervise a team of PDA responders at the local level. The PDA Supervisor will provide, as appropriate, direct aid assessment for delivery of ESS services for relief, referral services, and/or recovery assistance, as well as, be responsible for planning and organizing ongoing preparedness activities.

-Incident command services that may already exist or can be established
